Effective immediately, any containers that are picked up from the: terminal or ports, customers, or brokers. This is subject to change based on the needs of the company.
Container Releases—When a container is released from any of the terminals, Rapid Star Trucking, LLC will pick up these containers within 24-48 hours. If the Last Free Day also known as the LFD is the same day as the release, Rapid Star Trucking does not guarantee that the container will be picked up the same day. If a container is picked up the same day as release it will be an additional charge of $75.00 and will reflect in your invoice as a last-minute delivery order
Detention Fee—Detention is charged when a truck driver arrives at a location and has to wait to be loaded or unloaded. After the two hours, Rapid Star Trucking, LLC will charge a fee of $100.00. For your convenience, when we arrive at any location we will provide GPS Tracking proof.
Same Day Delivery Fee—Please note, Rapid Star Trucking, LLC will no longer be delivering the same day as the pickup. Containers will be picked up prior to the requested delivery date, ensuring that container is delivered in a timely manner. If you make a request for container to be picked up and delivered the same day, a fee of $150.00 will be applied. To reiterate, Rapid Star Trucking will no longer be committing to same day deliveries.
Container Returns—Containers are to be emptied within six hours of drop and Rapid Star Trucking will pick up the container within 24 and 48 hours of drop off. If additional time is needed, you can submit a formal request to office@rapidstartrucking.com and office personnel will schedule a pickup according. Please note, this request must be submitted prior to container delivery and all expected per diem fees are to be paid prior to delivery of the respected container.
Container Storage Fees—Containers that are picked up and stored due Rapid Star scheduling will not accrue a fee. However, containers that cannot be delivered at the request of the customer or broker will be charged a fee of $50.00 per day. Also note, that the customer will be responsible for any per-diem fees.
Container Cleaning Fee— When a shipper places a booking with a carrier or shipping line, they are required to provide them with an empty container that is in good condition and seaworthy – this also means that it’s fit for loading and has been thoroughly cleaned.
Damage Container Fee—. All damaged containers should be reported to office personnel so that the container may be dropped off at the correct location within the terminal. Any containers that accrue a fee because it was not returned to the proper location, as a result of not notifying Rapid Star Trucking, LLC office staff will be liable.
Fuel Cost—Fuel cost is already associated with the prices that you are charged. However, if a container is delivered and the customer has no room or is unable to receive a container, the customer will be charged $50.00 each time the container is delivered and cannot be received.
EZ Pass Fees—Ez pass charges are already allocated in your price, if a container is delivered and the customer has no room or is unable to receive a container, the customer will be charged an additional fee depending on location. Each time the container is delivered and cannot be received, these fees will be assessed.
Genset Pool Chassis Charge—Refer to Genset Pool Worksheet. This fee must be paid in advance.
Overweight Charge—Overweight charges are an additional $150.00 for any container that weighs over 45,000 pounds.
Per Diem Fee—Per diem fees are to be charged to the customer/ broker. It is the responsibility of the broker and or customer to inform the office of what containers are available and should be sent to office personnel at least 48 hours from the last free date, if possible. Rapid Star will no longer be responsible for per diem fees of any kind unless we fail to pick up a container that we have committed to picking up.
Port Congestion Fees— Port congestion is a situation that occurs when there is a backlog of ships waiting to load or unload cargo at a port, causing delays and disruptions to the normal flow of operations. There will be an additional charge of $100.00 for port congestion after the two hours of waiting. For your convenience, when we arrive at any location, we will provide GPS Tracking proof.
Returned Check Fee—Please see the policy change sheet attached for additional information.
Late Payment Fee— Please see the policy change sheet attached for additional information.
Flatbed Truck Fee—If a Flatbed is required for your container additional fees will need to be paid in advance, as per the request of our vendor.
Incorrect Delivery Orders—There will be no additional charge for incorrect delivery orders. However, if charges are accrued because of incorrect delivery orders, Rapid Star Trucking will not be responsible for any charges that may be accrued because of this mistake. Moreover, it is the broker or customer responsibility to give us a correct delivery order.
